CanGlory platform and International Course Construction Work Conference were Successfully Held
On August 31st, our school held a seminar on the construction of the Canglory platform, OSSD, and AP international courses. Leaders such as Executive Principal Mr. Tian Zhenzhou, Vice Principal Mr. Mage, Vice Principal Mr. Zhang Gang, Vice Principal Ms.Monique, Vice Director Mr. Huang Changqing, as well as all Chinese and foreign teachers of OSSD and AP courses attended the meeting, which was chaired by Vice Principal Mr. Mage.
Firstly, Principal Mr.Ma conveyed the relevant requirements of the board of directors for the new semester and made detailed work arrangements for the application of the Canglory platform in classroom teaching and course management. Specific arrangements have been made for each OSSD course and AP course.
Subsequently, Principal Mr. Tian pointed out that on the basis of implementing the spirit of the Beijing Education Conference in August 2023, and in accordance with the requirements of the board of directors, the platform's application and practice were well carried out. In addition, the 14th Five Year Plan project of the Beijing Education Association hosted by our school was successfully approved, and received guidance and recognition from experts at the city and district levels. This further strengthened our school's confidence in promoting the integration of international curriculum localization. The integration of international courses and the localization of national courses is an important way to implement international courses in the new era. We must adhere to the choice of standardization, selectivity, and integration, and the localization of international courses is more suitable for the learning reality of Chinese students. The next step is to rely on the advantages of the Canglory platform of the group to achieve digital empowerment classroom, mainly starting from four aspects: clear teaching objectives, improvement of teaching content, reform of teaching methods, and integration of teaching evaluation. By integrating resources, the efficiency of teacher teaching and student learning can be greatly improved. By utilizing intelligent and technological teaching platforms, traditional classroom shortcomings such as interaction and evaluation can be further compensated for, thereby achieving the goal of improving the quality of teaching and learning. Principal Mr. Tian has put forward specific requirements and schedules for the localization and integration of international courses and the use of the CanGlory platform. He requested that each teaching and research group, under the leadership of the teaching department, fully leverage the advantages of the CanGlory LMS learning system, work hard to improve classroom efficiency, enhance students' interest in learning, adjust teaching models, and other aspects, enrich our school's international course resource construction, and form disciplinary characteristics, promote high-quality development of schools and provide students with more comprehensive and comprehensive educational and teaching services.
Finally, every teacher delivered a speech on the application of the Canglory platform in the classroom based on the teaching characteristics of their respective discipline, sharing new ideas and methods for discipline construction. International teachers also shared some experiences, raised some problems, and proposed solutions. Everyone has expressed their desire to further enrich teaching practices on the basis of previous applications on the CanGlory platform. In the new semester, the international curriculum construction work will reach a new level under the leadership of the board of directors.
