The Hospitality Trade with Mr. Ajit.

On October 23, the grade 7 class was treated to a special talk with an international hospitality leader for the Career Exploration class. Mr. Ajit started his talk by explaining what the hospitality trade is, and all the jobs that are related to it. Some students were surprised that hospitality doesn’t mean hospitals! Hospitality isn’t only related to jobs in hotels, but it also includes waiters and chefs, accountants, lawyers, security guards and engineers. He then went on talking about his personal journey through India, Malaysia, and China and how he became involved in hospitality as a career.

The students had an opportunity to ask questions to Mr. Ajit – IN ENGLISH! The questions were very diverse from general questions about the field, to advice for those looking at entering the field, to personal experience questions about the best and more challenging requests that Mr. Ajit have performed.

The most exciting part was when the students found out that Mr. Ajit had met many famous people in his career so far, including Kobe Bryant!
