Computing and Management Skills for the Business Environment
Sophisticated computing systems play a major role in business and industry. This means that people who can plan and maintain systems as well as software are in high demand.
At UCFV, we can train you for a career in the business computing field. The Bachelor of Computer Information Systems degree is designed to produce information systems specialists who have both the technical skills to handle complex systems, and the managerial skills to ensure that those systems support the goals and objectives of the business or organization using them.
Entry to the BCIS program at UCFV is at the third-year level, after completion of the UCFV Computer Information Systems diploma or an equivalent program.
The BCIS degree differs from traditional computing science degrees because of its emphasis on information systems and managerial skills, in addition to computing science theory.
