Beijing Concord College of Sino-Canada is a boarding school offering both high school and post-secondary education, jointly operated by Chinese and Canadian education groups. The Experimental Middle School attached to Beijing Normal University is the Chinese division while the two Canadian sections are managed by the New Brunswick Education department and AKD International Incorporated. BCCSC receives tremendous support from both the Chinese and Canadian governments. On the day when BCCSC was established, Mr. Li Lanqing, Assistant Premier of China, met BCCSC's leaders. The Right Hon. Jean Chr¨¦tien, Canadian Prime Minister, sent congratulations on behalf of Canada and presented books to the BCCSC library. There were also congratulations from the Chinese and Canadian Departments of Foreign Affairs, Canada Senate and Parliament, and others. Since then, Mr. Tao Xiping, Chairman of the Standing Committee of Beijing People's Congress, and Canadian Senator Pierre De Ban¨¦ began to serve as honorary principals. Many other distinguished persons and educational experts serve as BCCSC advisors.
BCCSC's teaching method has brought great success. The students' knowledge, abilities, and creativity have been well developed to the international standards. Some BCCSC students have won awards in international and/or domestic competitions.
